Königswinter-Margarethenhöhe is a good trailhead to discover the Siebengebirge, hiking trails take you all around. There is a parking lot and a bus station of the line 521.
Now you can bear right and follow Löwenburger Straße, passing Margarethenhof and Sophienhof, a steak house restaurant. On the right side of the road, a broad hiking trail begins. It takes you to Nasseplatz, the Milchhäuschen restaurant and further down towards Drachenfels and Königswinter. If you continue straight ahead on Löwenburger Straße, you will soon reach the green and white barrier to the Nature Park. Just take a short steep ascent, and you are on the loop trail around Mount Lohrberg. Now you can continue to a great viewpoint named Drei-Seen-Blick and further to Mount Löwenburg.
Here you turn right to the Forsthaus, the Nature Park House of the Verschönerungsverein für das Siebengebirge (VVS).
At the cross-walk on Margarethenhöhe, you can also cross the street (country road L331) to Mount Ölberg. You can walk up or follow the loop trail around Mount Ölberg and continue towards Rosenau, Stenzelberg and even further towards Nonnenstromberg, Heisterbach Abbey and Mount Petersberg.
